Lake District Ski Club

The Lake District Ski club was founded in 1936 by some very enthusiastic skiers looking for places to ski in the Lake
District.
The best area was to found on Raise in the Helvellyn region of mountains.
Early members proceeded to build a rope tow. Since those early days the club has progressed with the help of dedicated members and
has today a modern button lift.
The Tow runs at weekends throughout the winter, snow conditions permitting. Some midweek skiing is some times available. The
skiing season usually starts late November and ends early April
