Pete has been practising walking since he was a toddler ( !! )
A few years ago, he decided to push his love of walking to the limit by completing the long hike from Land's End to John O'Groats, avoiding roads where possible.
He is, of course, an experienced hill walker, and has a seemingly bottomless fund of useless information

Knobbly John John Nicholls

John is an experienced hill walker and nature lover.
Like Pete, he has lived in the English Lake District for over 30 years.
He is fluent in French and Spanish and is interested in sport, music and good food.
( ed. - not necessarily in that order !! )
 

John and Pete are married to remarkably tolerant and supportive wives who put up with their respective husbands' idiosyncrasies with admirable fortitude.

Knobbly Stick use hotel bases at Ullswater, Keswick, Wasdale, Grasmere and the South Lakes.
