The Gaiety Cinema was a picture house until the early 60's when it was closed down and became a Bingo hall, ballroom and a finally a dance studio, before being demolished in 1994.
In this photograph it can be seen that one of the movies being shown is 'Way out West', starring Laurel & Hardy.
