Come and enjoy a delicious meal in either of our two dining rooms, or just enjoy a quiet drink and soak in the atmosphere of our 16th century building with it's beautiful gardens.
The Manor House was built, probably for a Yeoman farmer, and dates to about 1588, when there was only 5 or 6 dwellings in Ferryhill. Manor Farm was it's adjacent farmhouse immediately to the east. It was restored in 1891.
It has had many owners over the years and a chequered career, being a feudal manor, a doctor's surgery and an orphanage and in the 1990's even had it's name changed to 'The Badgers Sett' before the original name was rightfully restored. There is a large garden to the rear of the house with several listed items and the house itself is a Grade 2 listed building.
It is considered to be haunted, and even appeared on the TV show 'Most Haunted'.
Hotels : The Manor House is located at East of The Market Place.
